Senior Technical Recruiter
About the Role
SmithSpektrum is only as good as the engineers in our network. As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you'll identify, evaluate, and build relationships with exceptional engineers from around the world.
This isn't traditional recruiting. You'll need deep technical understanding to assess senior engineers across different specialties. You'll also help clients understand what great engineering talent looks like and how to evaluate it.

What You'll Do
- Source and engage senior engineers through multiple channels
- Conduct initial screens to assess technical depth and communication skills
- Build long-term relationships with engineers in our network
- Partner with clients to understand their technical requirements
- Present qualified candidates with detailed assessments
- Track and optimize recruiting metrics: response rates, conversion, time-to-match
- Contribute to employer brand through content and community engagement
- Mentor junior recruiters on technical recruiting best practices
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably at a tech company or elite agency
- Track record of hiring senior engineers (Staff+, Principal, Architects)
- Deep understanding of software engineering roles, technologies, and career paths
- Experience with technical assessment - you can evaluate engineers beyond resume keywords
- Strong network in the engineering community
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Data-driven approach to recruiting: you track metrics and optimize processes
- Experience with global hiring across different markets
What We Offer
- Base salary: $100,000 - $140,000 depending on experience
- Performance bonus up to 30% of base
